Each warehouse floor of the ALB is about two-storey high.The storage systems were Palletised Automated Storage& Retrieval System for pallets, mobile racking system for homogeneous and slow-moving items, vertical carouse lfor small medical supplies and Bin Automated Storage & Retrieval System for small auto parts. Also there are narrow aisles for storage for palletised items.
The powered mobile racking system is in 1st floor. It saves significant amount of apace and each compartment only is pulled when needed. The vertical carousel is in the 3rdfloor and connected with the warehouse management system.The laser guided vehicle is used for fast moving items, situated at the front of the warehouse. The products are dispatched in 20 foot container trucks.
The marshaling area is where the different sizes of army clothes caps and equipments needed for army boys is packed according to individual's requirement. The vertical carousel standsup the ceiling if the floor and controls humidity and the temperature of the medical supplies. Furthermore, Each floor is very wide and there are also narrow aisles which is numbered for identification.
